THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE
SF 2000’s annual conferences are organized using different participative methods such as workshops, panel discussions, working groups, keynote speeches, question and answer sessions, round-tables, confrontation games and consensus building exercises.
The aims of the SF 2000 annual conferences are:
- To provide young people with the opportunity to both contribute to and participate in contemporary debates on pressing issues relevant to their lives
- To improve the understanding of young people of the relationship between changes and developments occasioned by globalisation and the recent developments and perceptions within the civil society
- To search for common perspectives and values for the civil society across the differences represented by participants
- To represent the concerns of young people to the academic, intellectual, political, cultural and professional communities regarding the themes of the conference
- To present the experiences of and to recruit decentralised activities, and to create links within civil society
- To involve a broad diversity and public of young people in the Students' Forum 2000 debates
- To further develop the Students' Forum 2000 network
